Does this sound familiar?

Pain when walking or running

Heel pain first thing in the morning, an Achilles that nags after exercise, or a knee that won’t tolerate your usual distances.

An injury that keeps returning

A foot, ankle or knee problem that settles, then flares up again as soon as you return to training or everyday life.

Previous treatment hasn’t helped

Rest, new footwear or generic exercises haven’t resolved it — and you still don’t have a clear explanation.

Leave with a clearer plan

Understand what may be contributing to your symptoms

The whole picture — history, movement, strength and footwear — not just the sore spot.

A practical treatment and rehabilitation plan

Clear next steps matched to your goals and daily life.

Guidance on returning to the activities you enjoy

A realistic, staged return to walking, running or sport.

Recommendations depend on what we find at your assessment. Orthotics are only considered when they are appropriate for you.

What happens at your appointment?

Tell us your story

Your history: when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to.

Assess your movement

We assess how you stand, walk and, where relevant, run — gait analysis when appropriate, not every test for everyone.

Agree your plan

We explain what we’ve found and agree next steps — exercises, footwear advice and any further treatment.

Common questions

Is this the right appointment for me?
It’s designed for new foot, ankle or knee problems, and for injuries that keep returning or haven’t settled with previous treatment. If you’re unsure, call 020 3576 0630 and we’ll help you choose.
What should I bring?
The shoes you wear most often — including running or sports shoes if relevant — any clinic letters or scan reports, and your current orthotics or insoles if you use them.
Can I use health insurance?
Yes, we work with most major insurers. Make sure your cover and any required authorisation are in place before booking, as eligible practitioners vary. For other insurers or payment arrangements, contact the clinic.
Will orthotics or follow-ups cost extra?
Yes — the assessment fee covers your 60-minute appointment and plan. Orthotics and additional treatments are charged separately, and fees vary by clinic and practitioner. Current prices are on our fees page.
