Before your appointment

What You Need to Do

Obtain a pre-authorisation number from Cigna before attending — call 01475 788 463 or log in to your Cigna member account if you are already a member
Review your policy to confirm your level of coverage and any excess payable to the clinic
Cigna may require a Consultant or GP referral before approving treatment
Cigna does not cover dressings, medications, or orthotics — your podiatrist will discuss any additional costs during your appointment
It is your responsibility to notify Cigna before your consultation — failure to do so may result in Cigna not covering your fees
If Cigna does not cover your consultation fees, The Functional Podiatrist will invoice you directly — payable within 30 days
Contact Cigna directly for policy queries — we cannot communicate with Cigna on your behalf, this has to be done by the policyholder
